Visitor Reviews
If you like all kinds of buggies, stagecoaches or horse carriages, this is the best place I have seen. They even have a old western town.
Fabulous day trip! Sheriff Mark offered to lead us on a tour and I'm thrilled he did! We saw parts of the museum we might have missed, heard all the history and fun movie facts and ended up spending almost 2 hours spell bound. Thatc2 hours flew by! Absolutely worth the time. Plus Sheriff Mark will show you things about the buggies you can't see otherwise. đ
This museum was so fun to explore and our tour guide, Pistol Packing Paula, was amazing and shared so many interesting facts about the wagons, carts, and carriages. She made the whole experience way better! She was so sweet and patient with our two year old daughter and even put her up on a ride on horse and gave her a cowgirl hat to wear for a photo! Her demonstration of her pistol twisting and her bull whip show was impeccable! So glad to have had this experience and would definitely recommend!
The Buggy Barn Museum was an absolute HIT during a reunion weekend with my college friends. Pistol Packinâ Paula was an absolute GEM of a tour guide. And it was genuinely such a treat to see her, as well as the museum in and of itself, be a reflection of the niche passions present within our world. Witnessing the fruit of someoneâs love for buggy carts or pistols and bullwhips was a treasure. And if you want to know where the terms fender, bumper, dashboard, and more originate from⌠This is the place. Five stars. Amazing. Superb. Elite. One of a kind.
This place is a hidden gem! Fun for all ages! I went on a trip with some friends and everyone, including young children, were entertained and had a good time. The place had the kindest employees at check-in and through the entire experience. Our tour guide was the one and only Pistol Packinâ Paula, and she was absolutely FABULOUS! She was incredibly knowledgeable and had a fun personality that absolutely made the event so memorable. I learned so much and was amused by her personality and wit the entire time. She even demonstrated her pistol twirling and bullwhipping skills for us at the end and it simply must be experienced. I would 100% go back just to talk with Pistol Packinâ Paula again. If you are in the Hill Country area, going to the Buggy Barn Museum and having a tour from Pistol Packinâ Paula is totally worth the day tripâŚdid I already mention that I enjoyed her?
I recently visited the Buggy Barn Museum with a group of my college friends while we were in the area spending a reunion weekend together. In planning this trip, the staff were so helpful through email and generously offered a group rate for our group tour. My friend and I who co-planned the weekend kept this excursion a surprise until we arrived and everyone really enjoyed it! Our tour guide, Pistol Packinâ Paula, was so knowledgeable, patient, and fun! We were all so impressed with how much Paula was able to tell us about the various carts, carriages, and wagons AND how much of the research she had actually done herself. We learned so much that we felt ready for a round of Buggy Barn Trivia (maybe that should be an offered activity hahaha)! Our time ended with an impressive gun twirlinâ and bullwhip show by Pistol Packinâ Paula herself! We honestly had such a fun and delightful morning. Paula, if you are reading this, YOU are the moment! An icon! A queen! Thank you, Buggy Barn Museum!
Fabulous exhibit of buggies that were used in movies and TV shows. The western town looks completely authentic. Guides were so knowledgeable and Amanda worked on the series 1923 Yellowstone show etc. Guide and sheriff Mark was hilarious to talk with.
We had a great time touring the faux old West town and looking at the hundreds of buggies and other artifacts in the museum. Great place to visit.
This museum houses quite a collection of interesting and historical buggies. The sheriff, Marc, was kind enough to give us a tour and explain the significance of the buggies. Some have really neat stories as to their origin and route to ending up in Blanco, TX.
We would have enjoyed the visit even if it was self-guided, but having Marc lead the way made it a true 5-star experience. Well done, Sheriff Marc!
Amazing to see
